Mandala in a hue

Red is color, orange is a fruit and then there is an apple! These little things have become such an important part of our lives, we find them everywhere. They have become an emotion. Red is not just a color, we have made it a love, it has become an eminent part of our love stories! Orange is a fruit, but this fruit has become so important that we have a color named after it. Color of fierceness and sacrifice and then we taste this pretty fruit, sour and sweet and wonder if this is the same fruit  who's color fills us with an uncertain courage! And then we have an Apple, a standard fruit. We all know how important this standard fruit has become an integral part of our lives, it is almost like without an apple there can be some serious disaster happening in our day to day life and stock market and silicon valley can go crazy!  Some things are important by their very nature and some we humans make more important than it is because we see some hidden powers in it. Such is a ...

Mandala magic

Magic of Mandala is like cuddling a child, it makes you smile and one cannot just stop looking at it. The more you look at it the more it gives you energy. That is the reason why Mandala is very significant in human energy science. It can be a stress buster, energy booster or simply a time killer. Just like a baby it has power to fill you with joy. Having said that, it is super helpful in dealing with stress and anxiety as it keeps your mind busy and provokes good thoughts.  Imperfections in Mandalas is one thing which can keep you hooked most because we humans have a tendency to find faults first. As humans we mostly find difficulty in appreciating the efforts. Hence, the success secret behind handmade mandalas is the tiny flaws, in the process of finding mistakes we get to indulge in it deep and this kind of creates space in our head for healthy thoughts. In a nutshell, Mandala's magic lies in its flaws.  In this Mandala I have tried creating a composition keeping just...

Nothing is better than a classic

Nothing can beat a classic Mandala. In every art form classics remain unmatchable, the timelessness they have cannot be matched and they seem too far away from hiding any poorly treated but true issues. Their backbone is their mirroring quality and impeccable strength to represent the truth. Like a good movie a good painting will definitely remind you about your life, your struggles, your hesitations and the truth hidden behind the sheets of sugar coated lies.  Best art comes out when you are bound; you are put under a number of restrictions. One flourishes under the pressure, limited resources makes us understand the importance of resources and makes us wiser; this happens because our energy gets focused on those limited things and gives space to organize and use them in the best way. It is a kind of a freedom one feels while working with boundaries. You know how big your arena is and how much you are allowed to stretch. While creating this Mandala, I had nothing in my mind....

Mandala finds a way

Mandala always finds its way to show up and make the mark. Mandala can literally fit in anywhere and lit up the space. Our elders always teach us to shine and befriend people who are best in their fields, kids are always told to bond with topper of the class and observe their habits. The deal is simple, we always tend to appreciate and look forward to the best of things and we imitate them, it comes so naturally to us that we hardly even notice. We start imitating our role models, it is a systematic act of being human! This brings me to a point: we always try to find the easiest way out and in doing so we start copying others, especially the successful ones. This slowly starts to degrade the creative side of our mind and we become computers from a human. Best thing one can do to prevent such degradation is to keep experimenting. One should learn from the best people around, look at their journey and their process of doing things.  This little painting is inspired by the Potho...

Broken but beautiful - Mandala

How beautiful or ugly can it be to be broken? Broken things are very much ignored and worse are with humans, broken humans are alienated and kept at bay making them worse. The theory of broken but beautiful has been in the limelight for long a time now but how much do we really understand it and if we understand it then are we brave enough to confront it or lend a shoulder to the broken person? Answers will be the same as the number of people questioned!  Here I am trying to compose art with this concept and how it can be a real deal to tackle. Time is the master, it tests you and asks for unbelievable choices. They say bad times either break you or make you and rightly so, but it is always an individual's choice to choose between being broken or being broken but beautiful. This Mandala is like a human life cycle, it is born and since then it does all the things possible, completing one circle only to enter another which is even more complex, and surviving on hope and love of...
